Today the Gospel was preached and I’m always thankful for the opportunity to tell people about Christ. Although it’s difficult to see women go into the abortion mill with the intent of killing their children I am reminded that God’s Word never returns void.
Our Roman Catholic friends disagree with us preaching about repentance and faith. They don’t believe the Gospel should be preached at all, and that we should just use human reasoning to convince someone to not go through with an abortion.
The one Roman Catholic lady told us it bothers her when we use Bible verses and doesn’t think we should use any scripture. We had the opportunity to witness to her. She told me that she understands that born again Christians seem to have a closer relationship with Christ. I asked her if she was born again. She got uncomfortable with the question. I told her that Christ Himself said that unless you are born again you cannot see the kingdom of God.
Our Roman Catholic friends have a different Gospel. They’re taught that tradition, and the Roman Catholic magisterium is of equal authority to scripture. The end result is an abandonment of scripture all together. Almost all of them I encounter at PP don’t believe we should talk about Jesus at all unless it’s to say “Jesus loves you.”
One of the volunteers when she was done parked across the street holding a sign “Protesters: How many have you saved from Foster Care, Abuse, Neglect? How Many?!? Save the Born”
Her argument was based on the assumption that all of the people protesting don’t care about child abuse neglect therefore we have no business protesting the murder of the unborn. Her argument was quickly eradicated once many of them started to inform her about all of the babies the people there cared for, adopted, etc. I have to give her credit because she was out numbered and she was still willing to engage with us. Still her argument quickly disintegrated
Jeremiah 23:29 “Is not My word like a fire?” says the Lord, “And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?
