CCC 841 Allah the same God??

Heard this from a brother yesterday and grabbed my Catechism of the Catholic Church to confirm. And it is there CCC 841 states:

“The Church’s relationship with the Muslims. “The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind’s judge on the last day.”

I would have accepted this at one point in my life before truly knowing who Jesus is and not having an understanding of the basics of Islam. Who is the creator? Is Allah the same creator as our God?

Colossians 1:16
16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or [a]principalities or [b]powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.

The passage above refers to Jesus as the creator. From what I’ve learned, Muslims believe in Jesus Christ as a prophet only. They reject He is God and creator of all things, they reject the Holy Trinity. They deny the crucifixion, & resurrection.

together with us they adore the one, merciful God

If this is true then we have a major conflict with scripture as Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 15

12 Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen. 14 And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty. 15 Yes, and we are found false witnesses of God, because we have testified of God that He raised up Christ, whom He did not raise up—if in fact the dead do not rise. 16 For if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen. 17 And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins! 18 Then also those who have [c]fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable.

No resurrection means our faith is empty and we are still in our sins. If there is no sacrifice for sins, there is no salvation. No resurrection means death defeated Jesus and Satan won. Allah teaches that lying is acceptable to further the cause of Islam (Taqiyya) and also teaches that fighting unbelievers is legislated. This is in direct opposition to the teachings of Christ.

I know I risk being hated for saying such things as I’ve said above. It seems we now live in a time we’re we aren’t allowed to critic Islam without risking being labeled racist or Islamophobic; but it is very clear that this Allah is not the same God we serve. We also live in a time we’re even those who profess Jesus Christ as Lord don’t preach that Jesus is the only way to salvation; they merely preach that Christ is ‘a’ way.

My dearest Catholic friends and family. Unless I’m mistaken, your church is in serious error with this statement. Misunderstanding or not, this along with saying things like atheists can die atheists and inherit the kingdom of heaven by their works alone misleads people into thinking one can deny Christ, and still get to heaven by their own merits; or because they simply didn’t know any better. The statements I now make are what causes me to alienate friends, family, & upset many people. But the things written in God’s Word are either true or they are false. There is no ‘half truth’, ‘your truth’, ‘my truth’ regardless of what the world keeps telling us.

There is only The Truth.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

To deny the deity of Christ is to deny our creator, and only in Him can one have any hope of salvation. To say otherwise is to make Jesus out to be a liar and to nullify His Word.

John 3:18
“He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

John 8:24 Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”

1 John 5:10-12
10 He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son. 11 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has [d]life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, [e]and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

Acts 14:12
12Salvation exists in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”

Matthew 10:33 33 But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.
